Ball

Hello,

I know in one of my blogs I mentioned that my friend Diane and myself were planning to have a fire and ice ball. Well we have finally found two places that we would like to have the event, one is in White Plains, New York at the Ritz Carlton Hotel and the other is The Castle in Tarrytown New York. They are both beautiful places to hold the event and each venue is willing to work with our budget.

Since it is a fire and ice ball everyone was going to wear red and white and then I thought about it, when you look at fire there are other colors in the flame such as orange, blue, yellow, red and green so now we are telling everyone to choose a color from the flame so that we all do not look like cookie cutter cut-outs it will look more elegant if each person has on a different color of the flame or just the color white.

How does that sound to everyone? Please give any feedback that you may have it will be appreciated.

  1. Hi Sharon, I really like the idea for representing all the colors of the flame, rather than just red & white. The oranges and blues are especially memorable.

This is quite an undertaking. I should have friends like you!

  2. Is there a reason for this ball? Or is it just because you can? I'm curious.

Also, if it were me doing it, I would ask everyone to dress in the same color from head to toe. Different colors of a flame are OK, but I just picture a cooler visual in head to toe dressing. I don't know the age range of the people that are coming, but I'm sure there would be at least a few people that will dress in seperates, as opposed to a dress....and then there's the guys, too. I don't know any guys that would attend a ball, but to each their own, you never know. That's my 2 cents on it.
